Diaspora Mortgage Loan

It is a mortgage loan arranged for the Diaspora to purchase, construct, complete, and renovate residential or commercial buildings.

  1. Non-resident Ethiopians who have lived outside of Ethiopia for more than one year or are foreign nationals of Ethiopian origin.
  2. Companies owned by non-resident Ethiopians or foreign nationals of Ethiopian Origin located outside of Ethiopian for more than 1 year
  3. Any customer holding a foreign currency account at GBE.
  • Eligible customers are allowed to get a loan up to 80% of the bank's estimation
  • The repayment should be made in foreign currency only
  • Copy of passport
  • TIN /Tax identification certificate /
  • Ethiopian origin identification card /Yellow card/
  • Work permit
  • Proof of income
  • Marital status certificate
  • Bank statement /foreign bank statement/
  • Contractual agreement
  • Land holding certificate / approved plan, construction permit .. etc if any /
  • Tax Clearance
  1. Maximum Duration: - 20 Years
  2. The maximum amount to be financed: - 80% of the estimation value
  3. Interest: - 15%

Repayment should be in acceptable foreign currency /Fcy/ i.e USD, Euro, etc.
